Latitude 38 Vacation Rentals Welcomes Southern Californians

Just in time for Christmas, Allegiant Air will provide convenient and low-cost non-stop service from LAX on Wednesday and Saturdays beginning Dec. 21. The Colorado Flights Alliance (CFA) and The Telluride Tourism Board (TTB) cooperated to bring Allegiant flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ). Allegiant already offers non-stop service from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA).

Montrose Regional Airport is a scenic 65 miles from Telluride. A number of ground transportation options are available that provide a convenient and comfortable ride into the mountains. Return visitors know shuttles are preferable to rental cars since Telluride is best navigated on foot, skis or snowboards. A free gondola connects the Town of Telluride and the ski resort core services at Mountain Village. Other free modes of getting around are the Galloping Goose shuttle bus that circulates around town and the Dial-A-Ride car service program for guests staying in Mountain Village.

In addition to the new Allegiant Air flights from LAX and Phoenix, nonstop service is available year-round from Denver on United Express, from Houston on United Airlines and from Dallas on American Airlines. During the winter months, nonstop service expands to include flights from Newark, Los Angeles and Chicago on United Airlines, as well as Atlanta on Delta Airlines.
